Andrey Ponochevny, a classical pianist of international renown, was a bronze medal winner of the 2002 International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow. He was also honored as the featured pianist at the General Assembly of the World Federation of International Music Competitions in Washington, D.C.


Mr. Ponochevny, a native of Minsk, Belarus, has claimed top prizes in piano competitions in Germany, Poland, Ireland, Russia, Hong Kong and the U.S. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center, and the Beethovenhalle in Bonn, and his concerts have been broadcast around the world, including Boston, Germany, Australia and Denmark. Following a 2009 tour, Mr. Ponochevny was named Outstanding Artist in China.


Mr. Ponochevny has appeared as a soloist with such outstanding orchestras as the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Warsaw Philharmonic, Orchester der Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele and Belarusian State Symphony.
