2006 ARTS IN ACTION SCHOLARSHIP
Nashville, TN - Live on Stage, Inc. is proud to announce the 2006 Arts in Action Scholarship recipients -- Lisa Prinz of North Bend, Oregon and Caitlin Croswell of Columbus, Ohio. These two outstanding university students have received a $1,000.00 scholarship because of their efforts within their communities and through the arts.
The Arts in Action Scholarship is sponsored by Live On Stage, Inc. and uses a portion of the profit from the student outreach program, Encore, to support higher education. The goal of the scholarship is to encourage more young people to become involved in the arts. Through the assistance of the Community Concert Associations throughout the country, Live On Stage, Inc. is committed to providing educational support.
Lisa Prinz is currently attending Southwestern Oregon Community College. As a music major, Lisa sings, plays the violin, viola, guitar, mandolin, and piano. Lisa also has a natural ability to teach; as she has taken on the role of teaching a beginning violin course. Lisa was sponsored by Coos County Community Concert Association in Coos Bay, Oregon, where she serves as a student volunteer.
Capital University freshman, Cailtlin Croswell is double majoring in Theatre Studies and English. Caitlin is involved in all aspects of the performance arts including acting, dancing, and singing. Caitlin has also delved into the art of technical arts, assisting backstage with lighting, sets and scenic construction. Caitlin was sponsored by the Community Concert Association of Knox County in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.
